They will decompose the carbon dioxide in the air with the machine they have developed.
One of the carbon capture devices used to reduce carbon emissions that cause global warming was developed in Turkey.
Taner Mirzabey, chairman of the board of directors of the company, which has developed a carbon capture machine that will capture and decompose carbon dioxide, one of the most important greenhouse gases that cause global warming, said, "The smallest model of the machine we have developed can do in a day the work that 5 thousand trees do in a year." said.
Developed by MRZ Environmental Technologies and called "MRZ CO2", the carbon capture machine can trap more than 80 percent of the carbon dioxide in the air.
The machine, which has ISO, FWA, AQC certificates and has the ability to clean 15,000 cubic meters of air per hour, converts a significant part of the carbon dioxide it traps into carbon, and the carbon obtained can be used in the production of plastics, growing greenhouse plants and carbonated carbonated beverages.
MRZ Çevre Teknolojileri Ltd. gave information to the AA reporter about the carbon capture machine they developed. Sti. Chairman of the Board of Directors Taner Mirzabey stated that they are happy with the work they offer to Turkey and nature as an environmental company, and said, "The Paris Climate Agreement has become the horizon for us. Afterwards, we aimed to provide the carbon capture and capture technology to our country, and in the smallest model of the machine we developed, 5 thousand trees can be done in a year. We managed to get the job done in one day." he said.
Mirzabey continued as follows:
"Hair strands are 50-70 microns in diameter and can be seen with the naked eye, but we cannot see the harmful gases and dusts coming out of the exhaust with particulate matter. Our machine also cleans them, making a great contribution to human health. The MRZ CO2 carbon catcher will also make a great contribution to the country's economy. "The company needs to implement as much carbon capture technology as the carbon it produces. Our goal is for large companies, municipalities, hospitals and industries to use these devices."
Mirzabey, Chairman of the Board of MRZ Environmental Technologies (in the photo), introduced his project to the AA correspondent.
"We will bring the carbon we have obtained to the economy"
Talking about the targets they have set until 2024 and 2025 with the MRZ CO2 carbon catcher, Mirzabey said that they have developed an automation system and that they can calculate how much carbon a company holds by creating a network similar to exhaust emission systems.
Expressing that the device was met with interest from abroad as well as at home, Mirzabey said, "There is a demand for our machines from Hamburg and Stuttgart in Germany, but we gave priority to our country." said.
About the carbon capture machine they developed in Antalya, MRZ Çevre Teknolojileri Ltd. Sti. Management and employees showed the AA correspondent about the factory and gave information.
Providing information about the models of the machine, Mirzabey said:
"One of the models collects the particles that will harm human health, the other collects the carbon dioxide in the air but does not separate it. In our large main device, we obtain carbon by separating the carbon dioxide in the air with topical oxygen. We will bring this value to the economy, there are methods already used in the world, for example, in sodas as raw material, in fuel. It is used in oil wells and oil wells. We will prepare infrastructure according to whichever method it will be used in our country."
Industrial Design Engineer Havvanur Didesu Meriç (in the photo) talked about her work.
Forest fires triggered
Industrial Design Engineer Havvanur Didesu Meriç, who made the drawings of the MRZ CO2 carbon capture machine, said, "We are very saddened by the increase in forest fires, 'How can we tolerate this?' we said, and we decided to produce carbon machines, we started research on this subject. 'How can we use filters, how can we prevent bad dust from coming into the human body?' We did researches. In this direction, we chose certain filters and positioned them inside our machine." he said.
Noting that the research and development process took about a year, Meriç continued as follows:
"There were some of our teammates who went abroad and made measurements in the fields. When we saw how the carbon dioxide in the trees turns into oxygen, we saw how we can use it in our machines, and we made the outer drawing of our machine and created the bark drawing. We had to have a point that distinguishes us from other companies. We aimed to prevent bad odor and in this direction, we realized the interior design of the machine with our production team and made its positioning."
"Our aim is not to be good, but to be the best"
Electrical and Electronics Engineer Emre Yılmaz stated that they aim to place the machine in many places from east to west of Turkey and to monitor the system remotely.
Explaining that they continue their R&D studies in order to determine how much clean air space is provided and successful in Turkey, Yılmaz concluded his speech as follows:
"Our goal is to provide the oxygen provided by 5 thousand trees to our nature in that region with the machine we have developed, and not only to keep it constant in a certain region, but to be able to follow and monitor our project all over Turkey. We are all in this country, young and old, to lead this, as young people, together with my colleagues. It gives a different feeling and feeling. Our aim in this project with the sense of being a pioneer is to be the best, not the best."
